If you answered "yes" to any of the above questions, you will probably want to go with a thicker wood when purchasing your flooring. Make sure you mention this to your sales associate so they can best assist you.

Laminate Flooring is also available in a multitude of shades and looks, including a handscraped look. Laminate is a little less labor intensive to install. If you answered "yes" to any of the questions in the Hard Wood Section, you may need to go with a Hard Wood. Consult with your sales associate so they can best assist you.

Hard Woods and Laminates are fantastic ways to warm up a home's atmosphere. They can be used in almost any room of the home. You should not install Hard Wood or Laminate in areas where there could be standing water or steam (ex. the bathroom) as this could cause the flooring to warp.
When cleaning Hard Wood or Laminate Flooring, it is best to follow the manufacturer's & installers recommendations. Never leave standing water on your flooring. Clean up spills immediately - especially items that have staining potential.
